The client came to us with two primary objectives: establishing its presence online and growing organic traffic to its website.

They basically wanted to raise awareness of their social media analytics platform and position themselves as the best-consolidated solution for freelancers, brands, agencies, enterprises, and anyone who wants to up their social media game.

They also wanted to increase their organic traffic so that they could get more leads and sales from their website.

However, the client was finding it challenging to build a steady flow of organic traffic as they had a poor domain rating and were not able to rank at the top of the search results for their desired keywords.

We understood the client’s purpose for getting exposure for their social media analytics and reporting platform. Other than working on increasing its organic website traffic and brand awareness, we also suggested focusing on enhancing its overall brand reputation. And, the client agreed.

Link Building Tactics

We worked on building links from high-authority websites to help the client improve its website domain rating, search engine rankings, and organic traffic. For this, we focused on using the following tactics:

  • Create share-worthy content: We generated engaging and informative blog posts, infographics, and other types of content that would be valuable for the client’s audience.
  • Build naturally-fit backlinks from relevant websites: We added backlinks to Social Status posts and pages from relevant pieces of content on other high-authority websites. We also ensured that the anchor text fits naturally in that content. This helped them get more referral traffic as well.

Encourage brand mentions: We identified and contacted websites that had already mentioned Social Status but hadn’t added a link to their website. We then asked them to add a link, which helped the client get valuable backlinks as well as brand mentions.

Digital PR Tactics

We also focused on getting the client’s brand featured in some of the industry’s leading publications, such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, and SocialPilot. For this, we:

  • Created listicles on the best social media tools and featured Social Status in the list. We got the article published on high-authority, niche websites related to social media and marketing.
  • Found existing articles and requested the author to add a brand mention of Social Status. We wrote a short description of the tool to fit the existing content.
